CEFTILOX-OZ used to treat certain bacterial infections such as bronchitis (infection of the tubes leading to the lungs), gonorrhea (a sexually transmitted disease), and infections of the ears, throat, stomach, urinary tract, bone, and joint. It works by stopping the growth of the bacteria causing infection. It is advisable to continue taking it as long as it is prescribed even when you feel better, to make sure that all bacteria are killed. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and difficult to treat.
